Institute of Baltic Studies Celebrates 30 Years
The HERIT4AGES consortium congratulates its partner, the Institute of Baltic Studies (IBS), on the occasion of its 30th anniversary.
Founded in 1996, the Institute of Baltic Studies is an independent non-profit think tank dedicated to applied research, policy analysis, and the implementation of international projects. Over the past three decades, IBS has contributed to more than 300 applied research and development projects, supporting evidence-based decision-making in Estonia, the Baltic Sea region, and across Europe.
Originally focused on information and communication technologies, the institute has expanded its expertise in response to societal, economic, and technological developments. Today, IBS brings together strong competencies across seven major thematic areas, including human security and resilience, education and wellbeing, sustainable development, technology and society, economic policy, migration and integration, and social cohesion.
Through its extensive experience in qualitative research methods, policy evaluation, and foresight methodologies, IBS works closely with governments, municipalities, academia, and civil society organisations.
Within the HERIT4AGES project, the Institute of Baltic Studies contributes valuable socio-economic expertise and supports stakeholder engagement and analysis related to the implementation of innovative solutions for cultural heritage buildings.
The HERIT4AGES consortium congratulates IBS on this important milestone and looks forward to continued collaboration in the years ahead.
