PTEC Session on Sustainable Construction for Heritage Buildings
On 13 November 2025, consortium partners CETIM Technological Centre and TESELA jointly presented the HERIT4AGES project during an information session organised by PTEC – Plataforma Tecnológica Española de la Construcción. The session, entitled “Sustainable construction solutions to improve comfort in the rehabilitation of heritage buildings”, brought together leading organisations and experts committed to advancing innovation in the construction sector.
PTEC, established in 2004 and now operating as a foundation, plays a key role in promoting R&D&I across the Spanish construction ecosystem. Its network spans research organisations, universities, technology centres, clusters, start-ups, SMEs and major industry actors, and it is recognised as one of the main innovation drivers in the sector. The platform is also a member of the European Construction Technology Platform (ECTP).
During the session, Ismael Azuaga Arjona, Gaspar Carrasco-Huertas, and M. Alberto Miguéns Blanco presented HERIT4AGES and shared perspectives on how scientific and technological innovation can support the sustainable rehabilitation of architectural heritage. They highlighted the project’s work on solutions designed to improve comfort, enhance energy performance, and support efficient interventions in historic buildings.
This activity contributed to strengthening collaboration within the wider construction innovation community and raising awareness of the project’s objectives and early results.
