The Human Side of Innovation: Workshop by Sister Projects CHRONICLE and FORTESIE

As part of the Network of Building Renovation Projects, HERIT4AGES is pleased to share an invitation from its sister projects CHRONICLE and FORTESIE to their upcoming hybrid workshop “Not Just Technology: The Human Side of Innovation Success”. The session will take place on 19 November 2025, from 10:00 to 12:00 CET, during Enlit Europe 2025 in Bilbao, Spain, with the option to join online via Microsoft Teams.

The workshop will explore why groundbreaking technologies alone are not enough to achieve real-world impact, and how social innovation, communication, and citizen engagement are crucial to their success. Participants will hear practical insights from five EU-funded projects — CHRONICLE, FORTESIE, PROBONO, REEFLEX, and eFORT — and will take part in an interactive group activity designed to co-create solutions to real-life challenges.

Participation is free and open to all. You can register bellow to attend online or in person via the official Enlit Europe 2025 platform. Whether you join us in Bilbao or online, this session will offer valuable insights into why the human side of innovation is just as important as the technical one — and how it drives trust, acceptance, and real transformation.

Immediately after the session, CHRONICLE will host a technical workshop entitled “Making Building Data Work: Tools, Solutions and Outcomes from the CHRONICLE Project”.

This session dives into how building technology experts can leverage new and existing data sources in scalable data infrastructures to deliver stakeholder value, drive energy efficiency, and accelerate renovation actions — all within an evolving regulatory landscape. Hear from partners of the CHRONICLE project about how they’re turning data into real-world impact.
